Some couples want soft pastels and fairy lights. Kim & Aaron wanted Freddy vs Jason masks, horror-themed tables, and a wedding date that fell on Halloween itself.


As a photographer who lives for alternative love stories, this Halloween wedding photography day at Egypt Mill in Nailsworth is exactly the kind of celebration that gets my heart racing.

Every table setting was the name of a horror movie with pictures of the couple at conventions with their favourite actors and characters.


The real showstopper came when the couple pulled on Freddy vs Jason masks for a set of portraits in the garden. It's not something every photographer gets asked to shoot, but they definitely picked the right photographer to ask because I live for horror movies. Not to mention the Freddy Vs Jason soundtrack is still the best soundtrack that exists, and I will die on that hill.


Their ring bearer was also an owl, which Kim had organised as a surprise for Aaron.
